Is bloody hard work! I keep intending to pop in here & share little things but get caught up in life and all the little things that keep us busy as bees :)
It's been a busy month... my birthday was the 31st of May. I always reflect on the previous year and this year I'm feeling pretty proud of what I've done this past year and how I've borne out a lot of stress & change with grace (if not dignity lol). In the last year, I have been the breadwinner (as my husband is now a student), which has been quite a turn-around for our family. I find my self confidence has been very much bolstered, and I'm really enjoying it!
My lovely family decided to spoil me because my kindle died :(, so they bought me an ipad mini with the kindle app. *squeee!!* I had so many great witchy books on my kindle and was just bummed at not having access to them. Of course, a new reader really DOES require some new books, right??? ;) I've picked up 4 new witchy books... 2 by Deborah Blake (just love her), one Ellen Dugan & another author, and one by Melusine Draco. I've never read the last authors work, but the book sounded interesting and is very relevant as it's about Urban witchcraft.
My youngest spawn ... I mean little darling ;) had a birthday just yesterday too. Merry is 9 now! Next year is the big double digits hehehe. He was suitably spoiled by being allowed to choose dinner (pizza) and nan got him a baked cheesecake from the Cheesecake Shoppe, which is just about his favourite cake ever. He got minion toys which crack us all up, and a remote control helicopter that is just the best thing ever!
In effort to try to fit more spiritual moments into my life and not let everything be crowded out by work, I'm planning a simple 'banishing financial instability' ritual for the new moon... crossing fingers as they are starting the process for filling full time spots at work ;) Every little bit of a boost helps, right?
And with that, I depart for work. Night shift for the next few days... I'm armed with my new witchy books on my kindle, and a few movies to choose from during the night.
Be well!
