So I've been awol for a while... life has been drama filled for a bit here. I spent a week incredibly unwell, culminating in an ambulance ride & a night in hospital. Not much fun. I've been on antibiotics of various sorts since, as I have some lurking bacterial infection that is really (quite frankly) starting to piss me right off!
After recovering from all that hoopla... it was school holidays for 2 weeks, which were absolutely fabulous! The boys & I took full advantage of the local library's activities (Game on! Minecraft, which was a massive LAN party for the kids... Brushbots, which was building epic little robots out of toothbrush heads & watch batteries!), and a few in the local area (reptile enclosures at the local mall...way cool!) We went out and had posh iced chocolates & doughnuts and had friends over to hang out & play. We planned to go to Movie World... but the car HAD to have it's wheel bearings replaced before the back end collapsed! So instead, we booked in to the planetarium and watched a show called 'Stars of the Pharaohs' that was positively BRILLIANT!

The planetarium had a great display all the way around, complete with a life size replica of Neil Armstrong's suit as worn on the moon. The boys were suitably impressed. We're going to take a family day in a week or two and make the Movie World trip, but this seemed to be a reasonable substitute since we couldn't drive far.
Samwise (9yrs old) got super interested in my cross stitch project, so I bought him a plastic canvas doorknob hanger kit & he's doing that with yarn (so more like needlepoint ;) and is having a good old time with that. I've been hard at work on my celtic wheel of the year... so far I'm probably abut 1/8th done. It's going to take months lol.
Anyway, the children are back at school & life begins to return to normal... so you'll be seeing more of me!
Blessings :)
